The Lesser Glow-worm in Britain: native or newcomer

The Common Glow-worm Lampyris noctiluca is undoubtedly Britain's best-known and most conspicuous light-emitting creature. It belongs to the firefly family (Lampyridae) of beetles, the wingless female using her powerful yellow-green light to flag down flying males.
